DIFC Courts’ five star rating for service excellence
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, unveiled a plaque at the DIFC Courts signifying their service centre’s achievement of winning five stars under the country’s new rating system for government services.
Introduced in 2014 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed the Star Rating Initiative measures service standards at every public entity in the UAE. The DIFC Courts are the first Dubai Government entity to receive the award, which follows their 2013 accolade of becoming the only court in the world to achieve the high service standards required by The International Customer Service Institute (TISSE), as well as winning the UAE Customer Service Award for four consecutive years, and the 2014 UK Law Society Award for Excellence in the International Legal Services.
Reem Al Shihhe, Head of the DIFC Courts Business Excellence team, said, “The DIFC Courts have worked ceaselessly to cultivate a client-oriented culture across the organisation, which is reflected in our high score under the new Star Rating Initiative. Through the continual adoption of international best practice, the DIFC Courts have established a platform to deliver international quality services to a diverse and demanding user base.”
Mark Beer, OBE, DIFC Courts chief executive officer and registrar, said, “Customer service excellence and being able to offer the world’s most advanced legal process are essential components of the ongoing success of the DIFC Courts. Reem and the Business Excellence Team have done a superb job of ensuring excellence in everything we do and are making an important contribution to achieving the UAE vision to be the best place in the world to do business by 2020.”
