New appointments at Alaidarous Advocates & Legal Consultants

Alaidarous Advocates & Legal Consultants has announced the appointment of two new joiners at the firm: Awad Jaheen, partner and deputy head of litigation, and Niel Coertse, partner, international arbitration.

Jaheen is a partner and deputy head of litigation at Al Aidarous. His areas of expertise include Real Estate and Construction Disputes, Civil and Federal laws, UAE Taxes, Commercial Arbitration in Arabic, insurance cases, corporate and labor law, contract drafting, and providing clients with accurate legal opinions. Jaheen has a history of groundbreaking achievements, notably initiating new types of cases before Dubai Courts concerning the voidance of Judgments and the jurisdiction of DIFC Courts. Prior to joining the firm, he held a Senior Legal Consultant role in a boutique law firm in the UAE. 

Coertse has joined as partner, international arbitration. He qualified as a lawyer in South Africa and has lived and worked in the GCC since 2015. He focuses his practice on engineering and construction law and dispute resolution. Coertse provides clients guidance and continuous support throughout various stages of projects, including procurement and contract drafting, claims formulation and management, contract administration and dispute resolution. Throughout his tenure in Dubai and Qatar, Niel has advised clients on various engineering and infrastructure projects in the GCC region, including roads, hospitals, airports, mixed-use development projects, freezones and logistics parks.
