Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed Peter Scott as managing partner for Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA), effective April 1, 2020. Scott will succeed Martin Scott, who has held this leadership role since 2015.

A partner at the firm since 2007, Scott currently leads the EMEA litigation and disputes practice and serves as global head of antitrust and competition. He sits on the firm’s global executive committee and EMEA management committee.

Peter Scott commented, “I am delighted to be appointed to the role of managing partner, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Norton Rose Fulbright is a great firm with a fantastic global platform, and I look forward to delivering the benefits of the platform to our clients across EMEA. On behalf of the EMEA practice I would like to thank Martin Scott for the significant contribution he has made to the firm as Managing Partner.”

Peter Martyr, Norton Rose Fulbright’s global chief executive, added, “Peter is a highly experienced business leader. Having operated at both a global and regional level, he is superbly equipped to drive the firm’s business transformation strategy across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.”

Scott trained with Norton Rose Fulbright and spent the first six years of his career as a general commercial litigator, before joining the antitrust and competition team in 2005, being made a partner in the team two years later. He specialises in all areas of contentious antitrust and competition law and has advised on several leading and high-profile contentious competition cases.
