Al Tamimi & Company expands Arbitration practice

John Gaffney has joined Al Tamimi & Company as a senior associate in the Arbitration team.

Gaffney, who will be based in the firm’s Abu Dhabi office, is well-versed in international arbitration and has assisted clients in arbitration disputes relating to construction, corporate/commercial, energy, investment treaty, IP, and telecommunications matters. Additionally, John has also served as a legal officer with the United Nations Compensation Commission (UNCC) in Geneva.

In addition to his work has a counsel, Gaffney holds memberships to a variety of international and domestic arbitration panels and he sits as an arbitrator WIPO domain name disputes and an Expert in ICC Expertise proceedings. He is also listed in Who’s Who of International Commercial Arbitration (2010, 2011), the Euromoney Guide to Leading Commercial Arbitration Experts (9th and 10th eds.) and the Legal 500 (2011) for Dispute Resolution – Ireland.
