Akin Gump, AmCham Dubai and The Oath host webinar on the Biden Presidency

Akin Gump, AmCham Dubai and The Oath Magazine are delighted to have hosted a webinar on ‘A Look Inside the Biden Presidency’ on June 8, 2021.

The interactive, virtual event reflected on the early stages of the Biden presidency and the trajectory of the administration’s policies impacting business in the Middle East and elsewhere, led by Akin Gump’s international trade and policy professionals. The speakers included partner and former United States (U.S.) Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-IN) and senior advisor and former U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), along with partner Mac Fadlallah and Counsel Johann Strauss.

This jointly hosted event was attended by a diverse group of participants from across the region. It featured a panel discussion and Q&A session, with speakers sharing their insight on the Biden-Harris administration’s policies relating to national and economic security, sanctions and export control developments relating to Russia, China, and Iran, and recent developments involving Israel and the Middle East. It was particularly engaging for the attendees to listen to the Washington insiders break through the political lingo and provide their analysis on the topics.

Mac Fadlallah, partner, commented, “We hope the session was insightful for all those who attended the session. It was fascinating to be a part of such a well-versed team of panelists, to help analyze and put into perspective how the new Biden-Harris administration has taken shape over the past few months, what the future holds for the region and key considerations for businesses as [both domestic and international] policies come into effect.”
