Partner promotions at K&L Gates
K&L Gates announced that Nazanin Aleyaseen, Simon Mabin and Rabih Tabbara have been named partners in the Dubai office. Their promotions to the partnership are effective from March 1, 2015.
Nazanin Aleyaseen is a member of the international arbitration team. She regularly advises and represents international and UAE-based companies in DIAC, DIFC-LCIA, ADCACC and ICC administered arbitration proceedings as well as ad hoc proceedings. She has full advocacy rights, and advises and represents clients, in disputes before the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts. Nazanin also heads the Dubai office’s Labour, Employment and Workplace Safety practice. She acts as exclusive employment counsel to multinational corporations with operations in the MENA and GCC region. Aleyaseen joined K&L Gates in 2012.
Simon Mabin advises on a wide range of conventional and Islamic financing transactions and has acted for lenders, private equity sponsors, trustees and corporate borrowers in relation to various domestic and cross-border acquisitions, projects, work-outs, restructurings and regulatory projects. Mabin received his juris doctor and bachelor of laws degree from The University of Auckland. He joined K&L Gates in 2012.
Rabih Tabbara is an international disputes lawyer who focuses his practice on all forms of dispute resolution with a particular focus on complex cross-border disputes. Tabbara also has significant experience throughout the Middle East advising major developers, consultants and contractors in the negotiation and drafting of construction contracts including contracts based on the FIDIC forms. He also has extensive experience advising clients in their disputes in the oil and gas sector, especially in relation to feedstock supply agreements, crude oil pricing and refinery operations. Tabbara joined K&L Gates in 2013.
