Clyde & Co grows its oil & gas expertise
Clyde & Co has boosted its oil & gas credentials in the MENA region with the addition of Richard Devine, an experienced energy partner who joins the firm’s corporate team.
Devine has over 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector with a track record of working on frontier and first-of-their-kind projects, particularly upstream projects in the MENA region.
He has extensive experience advising national and international oil companies, project sponsors and developers on Middle Eastern and international transactions. Richard advises on the entire spectrum of oil and gas matters, including upstream oil and gas, energy M&A, energy regulation and energy transportation.
Devine has been based in Dubai for the past 10 years and has previously worked in London and Cairo. He joins Clyde & Co from Baker Botts where he was a partner in the firm’s global
projects group.
Devine will spearhead the oil & gas group in MENA. The group comprises industry specialist lawyers with the skills necessary to support oil & gas clients on all aspects of their business, including extensive experience across corporate, commercial, finance, projects, employment, regulatory and compliance, insurance, trading & derivatives and disputes & international arbitration.
