Lynn Ammar joins Clifford Chance’s M&A practice as partner
Clifford Chance has announced that it has appointed Lynn Ammar as a partner in its global M&A practice. Lynn will join Clifford Chance in September, operating out of the firm’s Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices.
Ammar brings a wealth of experience in cross-border M&A and private equity transactions, with more than a decade-long focus on the MENA region. She regularly advises leading corporate and public sector clients, including major national oil companies, sovereign wealth funds and large pension funds, on multi-billion dollar transactions across diverse industries with a particular focus on energy and renewables, healthcare, technology, and consumer products. Prior to joining Clifford Chance, Ammar was a partner at international law firm Cleary Gottlieb where she spent 12 years in the firm’s Abu Dhabi and Paris offices.
Ammar recently advised OCI N.V. on the announced sale of its 50 per cent stake in Fertiglobe Plc to Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for a total consideration of US$3.62 billion. Her recent experience also includes advising Fertiglobe in various joint ventures to establish low-carbon hydrogen projects in the UAE and Egypt, and several leading GCC sovereign wealth funds on outbound investments into the U.S. and Europe.
