Stuart Jordan of Baker Botts relocates to Middle East

Baker Botts has announced the relocation of partner Stuart Jordan to its Dubai office from London in response to growing client demands in the Middle East. Jordan was recently appointed as the firm’s global head of construction, and the strategic move aims to meet client demands by further bolstering the practice in the region.

The firm continues to benefit from Jordan’s leadership on the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in Saudi Arabia, which is the world’s largest green hydrogen project to have achieved financial close. His relocation builds on the success of his existing practice in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East, and provides on-ground support for leading construction projects in the Middle East, with a strategic focus on energy and infrastructure projects.

Jordan will focus on expanding the team and providing strategic oversight for global and regional collaboration. The move supports continuance of the firm’s investment in the energy and projects industry in the Middle East, following the recent additions of global projects partner Shane Wilson and counsel Chad Passlow in the Dubai office.

Since joining the firm in 2016 in London, Jordan has demonstrated exceptional expertise in both front-end work and dispute resolution within the construction sector. His practice encompasses advising developers and contractors across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, with a particular emphasis on the energy and infrastructure sectors.
