Simmons & Simmons launches ENRIC to broaden global offering

In a significant move for its international offering and longstanding sector strategy, international law firm Simmons & Simmons launched a new sector: Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Construction – “ENRIC”, on September 11, 2025. Established in response to the ever-growing volume of work Simmons is undertaking in this area and its profile in the market, ENRIC brings Simmons’ recognised expertise in conventional and renewable power, mining and metals, oil and gas, digital and critical infrastructure, defence, and construction into a unified, future-focused global sector.

Backed by an integrated team of over 100 specialists spanning the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, Simmons’ lawyers working in this sector support clients in both contentious and non-contentious mandates, with a focus on providing the full spectrum of legal advice. 

The ENRIC sector will be led by Iain Duncan – the highly experienced head of Simmons’ Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Group in the UK.

ENRIC becomes the firm’s fifth sector in its renowned sector-led offering for clients, alongside Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF), Financial Institutions (FI), Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS), and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT).
