Al Tamimi & Company launches Leadership Academy

UAE-HEADQUARTED Al Tamimi & Company has launched a “Leadership Academy” as part of its learning and development strategy.
After launching a Centre for Development in 2010, managing partner, Husam Hourani said: “The firm understands that to be at the forefront of the legal industry in the region, it must have the ability to attract, retain and develop professional staff who are not only technical experts but also possess the necessary leadership skills to advance the firm in new areas. The Leadership Academy will help us develop the existing talent we
have in the firm which will in turn lead us to even more success in future.”

He said people are what drives the success of the firm, and that he viewed it as “imperative” that the firm does all it can to develop employees, “to ensure we not only retain them but also prepare them for the next step in their career development.”

One of the highlights of the Leadership Academy will be a fast track training scheme exclusively for Emirati trainee lawyers.

The academy will also comprise a number of different interventions including
comprehensive Management Development Programs for both professional and support staff plus a series of leadership seminars.
The “Leadership Academy” will be launched on April 17, at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in DIFC with a keynote address to be given by Rabea Ataya, the Chief Executive of Bayt. com, the Middle East’s number one job site.

As Husam Hourani himself points out, visionary leaders are few and far between but where they do exist, we can all benefit from hearing how they have helped to shape the environment in which they operate.
