New partner in charge of Baker Botts’ Moscow office

 

MAXIM Levinson, who joined Baker Botts as a corporate partner in 2008, has been named partner in charge of its Moscow office. Levinson succeeds Steve Wardlaw as partner in charge, who will divide his time between the Moscow and London offices, working on European and Central Asian energy matters.
 
Concentrating on mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructurings, Maxim Levinson holds a broad experience in structuring, drafting and negotiating international financial transactions, including acquisition and project finance transactions and, financings guaranteed by export credit agencies. He also advised on a number of corporate matters for clients such as Gazprombank, Novatek, Suek, Ebrd and IFC.
 
Prior to joining Baker Botts, Levinson worked with White & Case for seven years, where he was appointed as associate partner in 2005.
