Meher joins Riyadh office of Latham & Watkins
AMAR MEHER has joined the Law Office of Salman M. Al-Sudairi in association with Latham & Watkins in Riyadh as a member of the Finance Department. Meher’s experience includes advising Middle East regional and international clients on conventional and Islamic finance, debt restructurings, debt capital markets and Shariah-compliant structured products, most notably Shari’ah-compliant investment funds. He has worked on numerous high profile Islamic finances across various product areas ranging from the bank market to capital markets.
Meher was recently named a Leading Lawyer by Islamic Finance news in 11 categories, including Asset Fund Management, Corporate and Commercial, Insolvency and Restructuring and Private Equity. He is also ranked as one of the world’s outstanding practitioners for Islamic Finance and Investment Funds in Legal Media Group’s Expert Guides 2012.
He was admitted as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2001. Prior to joining Latham, Meher worked in the Dubai, London and Sydney offices of leading international law firms.
