New partners for Dentons in Oman and the UAE

Dentons has announced two new partners in its Dubai and Muscat offices. The appointments of Catherine Beckett (Dubai) and Sadaf Buchanan (Muscat) which took effect from 1 May 2013, add further strength to the firm’s Corporate Commercial and Banking and Finance practices respectively.

CATHERINE BECKETT specialises in corporate work and has broad experience in general corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, takeovers and corporate finance. She has advised on the corporate elements of what is believed to be one of the Middle East’s largest mezzanine investments to date. Recognised by leading legal directories for her work, Beckett plays a pivotal role in the firm’s UAE Corporate practice.

SADAF BUCHANAN is a banking specialist who has for many years been advising international and financial institutions considering doing business in Oman. She has more than 10 years’ experience in restructuring and finance and works alongside banks in advising on security issues, enforcement and commercial lending.
