Abion expands its global presence with the opening of a new office in Dubai
Abion has announced the opening of its new office in Dubai, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy. The development is a testament to the firm’s commitment to providing unparalleled and innovative brand protection services to clients worldwide.
Leading the growth strategy in the region, the firm has welcomed two lawyers to the team, Nicole Giblin and Mark Devaney, formerly legal director and partner at a long-standing international law firm in the Middle East. Together, they have accumulated over 35 years of experience in the IP world and are known for their industry insights and extensive legal expertise, working with some of the largest global brand owners. In addition, they are both active in a number of trademark organisations and are recommended on several industry rankings, such as the WTR 1000, IP Stars and Legal 500 directories.
The dynamic duo has already started to build their team and will be opening the office doors together with Farid El-Hares, a rising paralegal star who brings nearly 10 years of industry experience working with a variety of brands from a range of sectors.
The decision to establish a presence in Dubai underscores the importance of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Middle East region in the global landscape of intellectual property and brand protection. Abion recognises the strategic significance of having a dedicated office in Dubai to better assist clients globally with their intellectual property and brand protection needs across the Middle East.
“We are excited to open an office in Dubai with a first-class team, thereby strengthening our presence in the Middle East. This expansion not only reflects our commitment to deliver exceptional services to our clients and our dedication to become the number one tech-enabled guardian of brands across the globe, but it also further strengthens the company’s position as a home for ambitious, top-talent in the IP industry,” said Magdalena Bonde, CEO at Abion.
“The addition of Nicole and Mark to our team demonstrates our continuous efforts to build a diverse and skilled workforce that can meet the evolving needs of our clients. I have known them both for a number of years and I am delighted that they have chosen to join Abion during these exciting times and help us drive the change we want in the IP industry” says Jesper Knudsen, Global Managing Partner at Abion.
