Addleshaw Goddard boosts corporate practice in KSA

Addleshaw Goddard has appointed Jad Slim as partner in its Corporate division, reinforcing the firm’s Capital Markets capabilities in Saudi Arabia. Jad joins the Riyadh office from White & Case, bringing over a decade of experience advising on high-profile Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions in the Kingdom and further boosting the firm’s market-leading presence in the Middle East.
A highly regarded capital markets lawyer with more than 10 years of regional experience, Jad has a strong track record of advising on Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), secondary public offerings, and other ECM workstreams, and has played a pivotal role in landmark deals in the Kingdom.
Beyond ECM, Jad’s experience extends to broader regulatory advisory and corporate structuring, including first-hand insight into e-commerce operations, compliance, and regulatory engagement. His expertise also extends to sector-specific matters, including employment, banking, real estate, energy, healthcare, IT, and retail.
This background positions Jad to play a pivotal role in shaping Addleshaw Goddard’s Capital Markets offering, particularly in Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving financial landscape. His ability to handle sophisticated transactions, combined with his dynamic understanding of both legal and commercial aspects of transactions, will directly benefit clients navigating increasingly complex deals in the Kingdom.
Robin Hickman, head of Middle East at Addleshaw Goddard, said, “Jad’s arrival is a significant addition for our Corporate team in the Middle East and our third new Partner hire in 2025. His expertise in ECM, combined with strong commercial acumen, will be invaluable in helping our clients navigate the complexities of Saudi Arabia’s dynamic capital markets. With his deep market knowledge and proven ability to deliver on high-profile transactions across jurisdictions, Jad is a natural fit for Addleshaw Goddard as we continue to strengthen our presence in Saudi Arabia.”
Jad Slim, partner at Addleshaw Goddard, commented, “I am joining Addleshaw Goddard at such an exciting time for both the firm and Saudi Arabia’s capital markets. It’s a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a firm with an ambitious vision for growth in the Kingdom, and AG’s strong reputation, collaborative culture, and commitment to excellence align perfectly with my approach to legal practice. I look forward to leveraging my experience in capital markets to support clients in achieving their strategic objectives and to further developing the firm’s presence in this high-growth sector.”
With a renewed focus on supporting Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives and the Kingdom’s ambitious financial reforms, Jad’s addition bolsters the firm’s ability to offer tailored advice suited to the Kingdom’s evolving market dynamics and opportunities.
