Adela Mues joins Reed Smith’s Global Corporate Group

Reed Smith has hired Adela Mues as partner in its Global Corporate Group. Mues, who is based in Dubai, has extensive experience of advising clients on M&A, private equity, venture capital, funds, capital markets, commercial contracts, employment and corporate restructuring.

Joining from K&L Gates, Mues has been based in the Middle East for over ten years and previously worked extensively across the UK. She has advised a broad range of local and international clients across numerous jurisdictions and a variety of industries.

Sachin Kerur, office managing partner of the firm’s Middle East offices, said, “Adela brings extensive knowledge of complex transactions in both domestic and international markets. Her private equity, M&A and corporate restructuring experience will enhance our corporate offering and benefit our clients in the Middle East and across our global platform.”

Mues, who speaks English, French and Romanian, commented, “I’m greatly looking forward to joining Reed Smith’s Global Corporate Group and building my practice further.”

Starting her law career as a Romanian lawyer in the Romanian office of Taylor Joynson Garrett, now Taylor Wessing, Mues then moved to London in 2001 to continue assisting the firm and, following such move, she completed a training contract and qualified as a solicitor.
