ADJD launches basic programme for legal representatives

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department launched the first edition of its basic programme for legal representatives, as part of its executive regulations that aim to organise the work of representatives at Abu Dhabi courts and prosecutions.

The programme, which was launched under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Department, requires the representatives, who must also have law degrees, to attend a training course before being accredited.

The department said that the programme, which was launched in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy, aims to provide its participants with the required knowledge, directives and behaviours as stated in the relevant regulations, as well as the required skills to perform their duties with efficiency and excellence, to improve the performance of all judicial parties.

The programme includes several key topics, such as introducing the e-system of the judicial department and the standards and controls that govern the relationship between lawyers and clients, as well as the relationship between the judicial system and lawyers, and promoting judicial values and ethics and highlighting all prohibited practices.
