Alastair Glover joins Stephenson Harwood

Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its private wealth practice with the arrival of partner Alastair Glover, who joins the firm in Dubai.

Glover is a private wealth partner with more than 15 years’ experience advising high-net worth individuals and families, family offices and trustees on global estate planning and tax efficient investment structures. He is ranked in Band 1 in Chambers High Net Worth and is technical director of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) Arabia.

“The UAE continues to position itself as one of the main global hubs for private wealth and family offices,” said Rania Tadros, Stephenson Harwood’s Dubai office managing partner. “An on-the-ground private wealth presence, with Alastair’s calibre and reputation for running departments and developing business, will help us capitalise on these opportunities. Alastair’s arrival also confirms our commitment to the region and to our clients.”

“The firm’s award-winning private wealth practice sees the Middle East as a key part of its global strategy and we continue to see an increase in the demand for wealth legal and tax services in the region,” said Jenny McKeown, partner and practice group leader for the firm’s employment, pensions, immigration and private wealth practice. “While Alastair’s practice has a regional nexus, his skill set, experience and contacts means he will be an integral part of the firm’s expanding international private wealth proposition.”

The Stephenson Harwood multi-disciplinary global private wealth team advises individuals, their families and trustees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters, with a particular focus on complex international structuring, especially where a family business or corporate structure is involved.
