Ashurst advises Interserve on its acquisition of oil and gas services company

Ashurst LLP has advised FTSE 250 international support services and construction company Interserve on its agreement with Renaissance Services SAOG to acquire, for US$ 46m, Topaz Oil and Gas Limited and its subsidiaries, which provide oilfield maintenance, fabrication and construction services in the Middle East.

Abu Dhabi managing partner and head of corporate Alastair Holland and Dubai corporate senior associate Chris Young advised Interserve. This is the second major M&A deal on which Ashurst has advised Interserve in the region, having acted on Interserve’s acquisition of Willbros Middle East and its subsidiaries (the foremost of which being The Oman Construction Company) earlier in 2013.
