Baker Botts names partner in charge-recruiting

BAKER Botts LLP has named Van Beckwith, partner in charge-recruiting. He will lead and expand the firm’s effort to recruit outstanding new lawyers from top law schools, while providing support in recruiting lateral partners and practice groups across its offices.

Prior to this, Beckwith served as hiring partner at Baker Botts for the last five years. He also focused on business litigation, technology and intellectual property litigation and food and beverage litigation. He also served as first chair trial lawyer and tried lawsuits and arbitrations in state federal courts throughout the US and conducted other discovery in Asia, Europe and throughout North America.
