Baker McKenzie elects new global executive committee members
Baker McKenzie has elected two new members to its Global Executive Committee. London-based Kirsty Wilson, corporate partner and chair of the Global Reorganisations Group, joins both the Executive Committee, and the firm’s EMEA Regional Council, while Gustavo Boruchowicz, M&A partner and former managing partner of Baker McKenzie’s Buenos Aires office, takes up the role of Latin America Chair in addition to his Executive Committee responsibilities.
They will assume their roles in October at Baker McKenzie’s Annual Meeting, and will replace Constanze Ulmer-Eilfort and Jaime Trujillo, who will both be concluding their four-year terms.
Commenting on the new appointments, Milton Cheng, global chair, Baker McKenzie, said, “In Kirsty and Gustavo we have two outstanding leaders with a strong track record of successfully leading large teams, and collaborating across multiple jurisdictions and various practices. I am looking forward to the perspectives they will bring to our Executive Committee discussions, as we drive our strategy forward. I’d also like to thank Constanze and Jaime on behalf of the entire Firm for their leadership, hard work and invaluable contributions to the EC throughout their terms, including recognizing Jaime’s time as interim global chair, and their tireless efforts over the past year and a half as we have navigated the pandemic.”
Baker McKenzie’s Global Executive Committee includes partner representatives covering all regions, with responsibility for developing and implementing global strategy and managing the Firm’s day-to-day business across 77 offices in 46 countries.
