Baker & McKenzie expands London banking & finance team

BAKER & McKenzie& McKenzie has recently strengthened its banking & finance practice group with the appointment of Sébastien Marcelin-Rice as partner in London.

Rice joins the firm from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he was a senior associate in the firm’s banking practice in London. He is the second new partner in the London team following the appointment of senior associate Lynn Rosell Rowley as partner.

The firm’s head of London banking & finance and Global Chair of banking & finance, Bernard Sharp said, “Sébastien’s broad financing experience over the last 9 years and his more specific focus in emerging markets transactions ad leveraged finance, resonates very well with our strengths as a practice, as well as our priorities for growth in London.”

Rice focuses on sponsor and lender leveraged finance work, restructurings of leveraged credits, and emerging markets financing transactions. His arrival complements Lynn Rosell’s appointment as partner. Lynn focuses on acquisition finance, in particular cross border and multi-jurisdictional leveraged finance and syndicated lending.
