Beaton relocates to Abu Dhabi

Allen & Overy LLP has announced a further investment in its Middle East and African energy and infrastructure practice with the transfer of partner Shaun Beaton from its London office to Abu Dhabi.  Beaton specialises in energy and infrastructure project development and construction, with a particular emphasis on I(W)PPs and other projects in the power sector.  He has represented developers, contractors, sponsors and lenders on renewable, nuclear and conventional thermal power projects across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas. Prior to his move to Abu Dhabi, Beaton worked in the Paris, New York and London offices of Allen & Overy. In addition to being an experienced projects lawyer, Beaton’s 25 years in the energy sector include more than a decade of practice as a professional engineer, a combination that provides clients with unique and valuable insights into energy matters.
