Big moves at Hogan Lovells
Hogan Lovells announced the promotion of 29 new partners in various practice areas across its global practice, which was effective from January 1, 2014. In addition to the 29 new partners, 38 new appointments to the role of counsel, of counsel, or consultant have been made. Claire Matheson Kirton of the firm’s Dubai office has been promoted to of counsel. Kirton has considerable experience of advising international and local financial institutions and corporations on a variety of financing transactions. She maintains a particular focus on structured trade finance and energy and infrastructure related financing across MENA and India. In addition, Kirton has been involved in a broad range of asset and tax based structured finance work with an emphasis in media and telecoms related matters. She has practised in Dubai for more than six years and in that time has worked on some of the most innovative Islamic finance deals closed to date.
