Bird & Bird boosts ME presence

Bird & Bird announced the appointment of Kelly Tymburski as a partner in its Middle East practice.  She joined the firm on April 6, 2014 and operates from Bird & Bird’s UAE offices. 

Tymburski is a dual qualified lawyer (Ontario, Canada and England & Wales) with significant experience in the Middle East TMT legal market, having worked in private practice in the region since 2007.  During this time she has done an extensive amount of work for both private and public sector clients, with an emphasis on advising clients in the communications sector and with strengths in both TMT commercial and regulatory matters.  A key aspect of her role will be spearheading the firm’s push into the Middle East and African telecommunications sector.

Bird & Bird is also announced the hire of Saarah Badr, who has joined its Middle East practice as a senior associate.  Saarah also has extensive regional experience, having previously worked as Legal Counsel to the Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority (twofour54) from 2009 to 2013.  Saarah boasts significant expertise advising on regional IP, media and entertainment matters.
