Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner celebrates launch in the UAE
Following the recent combination of Bryan Cave and Berwin Leighton Paisner, on October 23, 2018 the newly merged firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner celebrated its launch in the UAE, as part of a series of cross-border initiatives to publicly celebrate the new combination and network with clients. More than 100 guests gathered on the rooftop of Luna Sky Bar at the Four Seasons, DIFC for a night of networking and exploring of cross selling opportunities, with BCLP represented by lawyers from across the globe. The firm’s US-based co-chair Therese Pritchard welcomed guests, thanking them for their support through the merger process and emphasising the new firm’s excitement at the opportunities ahead. The firm’s UAE offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi received regulatory approval to officially launch as Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP on May 1, 2018. This follows the firm’s US and London offices who launched on April 3, 2018. The Hong Kong and Singapore offices received regulatory approval on September 1, 2018, and offices in China will launch under the new name in the coming months. BCLP’s four core practices globally are Corporate, Finance, Litigation and Corporate Risk and Real Estate. As the result of the merger, the combined firm now offers clients access to over 1,400 lawyers in 32 offices across the Middle East, North America, Europe and Asia.
