Charles Russell Speechly’s latest hire

Charles Russell Speechlys has appointed Paula Boast as a new partner within its construction practice.

Boast will build on the practice and offer expert advice across the sector, at a time where construction projects are gaining real momentum across the region. She will act on behalf of government and regulatory clients, project employers and developers, lenders and investors, contractors, subcontractors and consultants. Boast’s skills and expertise will be used to advise key clients including Bahrain Airport, where the team have been involved in the work to modernise the Airport’s facilities, and Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the leading developers in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Boast has considerable experience as a construction lawyer and has advised on a number of construction projects in Bahrain and across the Middle East. Paula’s previous clients have included Bahrain Airport, King Abdullah Medical City and the Bahrain National Assembly, and she also assisted the Bahrain Ministry of Works in the drafting and publication of its Standard Suite of Construction Contracts in 2009. She is the Bahrain country coordinator for the Society of Construction Law (Gulf) having previously sat on the SCL Council in the UK. She is also currently the vice chair of Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF).
