Clyde & Co appoints new corporate & advisory partner appointment

Clyde & Co has announced the hire of leading corporate and M&A lawyer Mohamed Barakat as a partner in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region and its global corporate & advisory practice.

Barakat joins us from Baker McKenzie, where he was a partner in their corporate practice. He is a highly regarded US-qualified lawyer with more than 17 years of experience working in the United States (Chicago and Washington, DC) and the Middle East (Egypt and Saudi Arabia). He is a leading corporate lawyer with a deep understanding of the region and advises clients on complex M&A and restructuring transactions in the energy, financial services, infrastructure and real estate sectors.
