Dentons acts on €300m Murabaha financing for Hayat Kimya

Dentons has advised Citibank N.A., Emirates NBD Bank PJSC (ENBD) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank PJSC (ADCB) on a €300 million Islamic financing made available to Hayat Kimya Sanayi A.Ş, a global manufacturing company headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey. The transaction was structured as an AAOIFI-compliant commodity Murabaha facility. The financing supports the group’s funding requirements through a Sharia-compliant structure aligned with established Murabaha market standards. Dentons’ Istanbul office provided Turkish law support on the transaction.

Nathaniel Armstrong, Abu Dhabi Managing Partner, commented, “We are pleased to have supported Citi, ENBD and ADCB on this cross-border Murabaha financing for Hayat Kimya. This transaction demonstrates Dentons’ strong cross-border Islamic finance capabilities and our experience advising leading financial institutions on complex Sharia-compliant financings across international markets.”

The Dentons team was led by Abu Dhabi managing partner Nathaniel Armstrong, with support from senior associate Shaakir Daud and associate Najeeb Gill.
