Dentons’ latest deals
Denton has advised the National Bank of Oman on the establishment of a listed and rated USD600 million Euro Medium Term Note programme, and the debut issue of USD500 million 3.125 per cent Notes (due 2019). The Programme and issue, arranged by HSBC, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Credit Agricole Corporate Investment Bank and Standard Chartered Bank, are rated and listed on the Irish Stock Exchange. The Dentons team was led by partners Sadaf Buchanan and Matthew Sapte, and assisted by associates Ahmed Choudhry, Laura Cansdale and trainee legal assistant Fatma al Rashdi.
Denton has also advised the Government of Sharjah, through the Sharjah Finance Department, on the issuance of USD750 million Trust Certificates due 2024 which completed on September 17, 2014. The Certificates, signifying the Government's first ever Sukuk issuance, were listed on the Irish Stock Exchange and on the Nasdaq Dubai. The part of global coordinator was played by HSBC, with Kuwait Finance House Investment Company, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah Islamic Bank and Standard Chartered Bank acting as joint bookrunners. Al Hilal Bank, Arab Banking Corporation and Dubai Islamic Bank acted as co-managers on the transaction.
