DLA Piper appoints new head of Kuwait

DLA Piper announced the appointment of Terry O'Regan as the head of its Kuwait office. O'Regan joins the firm as a legal director. He over 20 years of experience, gained in private practice and in-house roles in the United Kingdom and Middle East. O'Regan specialises in all aspects of international trade and maritime law. He has particular expertise in the marine, trade, energy and insurance sectors, where he brings with him an impressive track record advising ship owners, charterers, insurers, state and private oil companies, traders and banks on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters.

O'Regan has detailed knowledge of the Kuwait market, having spent a number of years as the Senior Legal Advisor at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation. In this role, he was responsible for all matters in relation to the sale and delivery of Kuwait's crude oil and petroleum products. He also managed all international litigation.
