Eversheds Sutherland’s new international chief executive and global co-CEO steps in

Eversheds Sutherland (International) is pleased to confirm that Keith Froud has now succeeded Lee Ranson as the firm’s chief executive and global co-CEO. Froud’s election in September 2024 was uncontested and he begins his four year term today, May 1, 2025.
Keith Froud commented, “I am proud to have succeeded Lee Ranson as chief executive of Eversheds Sutherland (International) today. Building on the firm’s strong trajectory, my ambition is to create even greater success for our clients and our people. I am also pleased to be working with Lino Mendiola as global co-CEO and look forward to launching our new global strategy with him in the coming months.”
Commenting at the time of Keith’s election, former chief executive Lee Ranson, stated, “Keith has been an outstanding managing partner over the past eight years, and I have every confidence in his ability to lead the firm in this next period. His extensive leadership qualities and experience and strategic vision and drive made him the natural choice for the role.”

- Stephen Hill becomes corporate finance practice group head and global co-head of corporate finance.
- Simon Gamlin becomes commercial advisory practice group head and global co-head of commercial advisory.
Regional leaders
- Alexander Niethammer becomes European managing partner and remains as the firm’s managing partner Germany, with Joos Hellert appointed as deputy managing partner Germany.
- Catherine Detalle becomes Paris senior office partner from June 1, 2025, and remains as the sector group leader for consumer.
- Rebecca Copley becomes Dubai senior office partner and remains head of litigation & dispute management – Middle East.
- Natascha Geraedts became Netherlands senior office partner on November 1, 2024.
