Fordham Law School’s LLM programme
Fordham Law School’s dean, Matthew Diller, was recently in Dubai presenting and visiting with the school’s graduates. His trip was part of Fordham’s efforts to support and convene the significant group of alumni living overseas.
Many of those alumni are graduates of Fordham Law’s LL.M. programme, which is based on both globalisation and specialisation. Fordham Law believes it’s essential for a global legal professional to have an international outlook and a distinctive area of expertise. The School’s eight LL.M. degrees offer the opportunity to specialise in rapidly evolving fields. They include:
- LL.M. in Banking, Corporate, and Finance Law: gives students an appreciation of corporate structure, capital markets, and the goals of U.S. executives and business lawyers.
- LL.M. in Corporate Compliance: introduces students to a rapidly emerging global field. This program prepares candidates to respond effectively to new, complex regulatory demands.
- LL.M. in Fashion Law: students study with academics and industry insiders in New York City, a capital of the world’s fashion industry.
- LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law: combines the study of intellectual property rights with information technology law.
- LL.M. in International Business and Trade Law: prepares students to handle complex transnational transactions.
- LL.M. in International Dispute Resolution: offers students the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge in the methods used to resolve disputes between parties in public and private international law.
- LL.M. in International Law and Justice: gives students an understanding of human rights protection on all levels.
- LL.M. in U.S. Law: offers students flexibility to develop a curriculum in U.S. law topics that suits their needs.
“Today’s global legal marketplace demands nimble legal professionals who can meet the challenges that confront lawyers on a daily basis,” said Dean Diller. “Fordham Law’s LL.M. program prepares talented, ambitious legal professionals for this increasingly complex world.”
