Gibson Dunn’s new partner

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP announced that the firm has elected 16 new partners, effective January 1, 2018.

“We are very proud of our new partners, and congratulate them on achieving this important professional milestone,” said Ken Doran, chairman and managing partner of Gibson Dunn.  “Like the firm as a whole, they are a diverse group of lawyers from different markets with different practice specialties, but who share a dedication to delivering the highest quality of legal service to our clients.  We are very pleased to welcome them to the partnership and know that they will continue to uphold and embrace the core values of the firm – excellence, professionalism and collegiality.”

The new partner at the Dubai office is Fraser Dawson in the Private Equity, M&A practice area. Dawson has experience in acting on a broad range of M&A and other corporate transactions including MBOs, JVs, secondary buy-outs, co-investments, consortium arrangements, restructurings, convertible loan issues and trade sales.  During his career, in both Europe and the Middle East, he has represented leading private equity institutions, well-known multinationals and ‘best-in-class’ regional corporates in highly publicised and market-leading transactions.  He graduated in 2002 from the University of Edinburgh.
