Greta Habib joins Greenberg Traurig to strengthen UAE corporate practice

Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added senior corporate/commercial lawyer Greta Habib as a Shareholder in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) location. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Habib founded and led two cross-border corporate law firms in Beirut and Dubai, spearheading strategic growth, innovation, and client engagement across jurisdictions.

At Greenberg Traurig, Habib will focus on complex cross-border structuring and restructuring transactions, involving formation of companies, trusts, foundations as well as private equity and funds in the UAE and broader MENA region. Her corporate structuring experience spans across start-ups, foreign direct investments, regulatory and compliance, corporate governance frameworks, management and board structures, shareholders’ arrangements, boards and stakeholders’ strategic realignment and succession planning.
Habib also advises companies on derivative activities, assisting with license renewals, business transfers, company deregistration and license reactivation. In addition, she advises on asset sales, business transfers, carve-outs, mergers and acquisitions, legal due diligence, joint ventures, corporate alliances, and contentious shareholders’ disputes. Her corporate/ commercial experience includes drafting and negotiating licensing, distribution, franchising, and commercial agency agreements.

Habib holds an L.L.M. in Private International Law from Paris II – Panthéon-Assas University, is admitted to the Beirut Bar Association and is a registered legal consultant at Dubai Legal Affairs Department. She is fluent in English, Arabic and French.
