Hadef & Partners appoints new head of IP in Dubai
Munir Suboh has joined Hadef & Partners to head the Intellectual Property practice in the Dubai office, advising on the full suite IP services and providing support across all of Hadef & Partners’ practice areas, including dispute resolution.
As an Intellectual Property specialist with over a decade of experience in the region, Suboh’s expertise covers all areas of Intellectual Property, media, commercial transactions, regulatory works, IT and related disputes resolution. He is experienced in managing trademark and IP portfolios on local, regional and global scales. He is also very active in the field of IP enforcement, litigation and the anti-counterfeiting space. He has overseen major enforcement campaigns and worked closely with IP owners to establish strategies for IP protection in the region.
Suboh has led numerous substantial litigations, including civil actions and criminal proceedings considered to be landmark precedents in the UAE IP system. He has also provided strategic advice and managed raid actions against counterfeiters and lobbied law enforcement officials for brand owners. He also advises boutique corporations and multinational entities across many different sectors on a full range of IP issues including transactional advisory, clearances, due diligence, IP audits, franchise, licenses, acquisition and disposition of IP rights.
