Simmons & Simmons has advised J.P Morgan Cazenove and Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc as joint sponsors to FTSE 100 natural resources group Vedanta Resources plc on the share merger of its group companies, Sesa Goa Ltd and Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd and a consolidation of the Vedanta Group.

DLA Piper has announced its involvement in the structuring of a joint venture between Damas Jewellery LLC and the jewellery designer Tiffany & Co. The firm’s specialist retail group has been advising Tiffany for over a year and the venture is expected to indicate the start of a wider expansion of the Tiffany brand.

Eversheds’ Hong Kong office has advised China Chengxin, a leading credit rating agency, on securing a type 10 license, to provide credit rating services in the country. The license, claimed to be a first of its kind, was issued by Hong Kong Securities and Future Commission (SFC).
