Kuwait firms announce strategic alliance

Meysan Partners, the Kuwait based corporate law firm, has announced a strategic alliance with the law office of Adnan Al Ajeel and Waleed Al Tattan, combining efforts immediately. The new alliance will be known as Meysan AT Partners.

The alliance will be led by the senior partners of Meysan, Bader El-Jeaan and Abdul Aziz Al Yaqout, and the partners of AT, Adnan Al Ajeel and Waleed Al Tattan.

Established in 1978 by Adnan Al Ajeel, AT has established one of Kuwait’s leading litigation practices. Its lawyers are skilled at handling a wide range of international litigations and arbitrations for multinational and domestic financial institutions and corporations, sovereign governments and state-owned institutions.

The firm regularly advises clients on all types of litigation, including banking, commercial, construction, criminal, real estate, transport, insurance, and intellectual property matters. AT has also successfully represented clients in arbitrations under a variety of arbitral rules in matters that involved the coordination of proceedings in multiple jurisdictions and multinational discovery.

Meysan Partners offers high quality, innovative legal advice delivered by a team of highly-experienced Arabic and English speaking lawyers.  This is underpinned by over 35 years of combined experience in the Middle East shared by its partners, who, in recent years, have advised clients across a range of industry sectors on some of the most noteworthy and complex transactions in the region.

Senior partner of Meysan Partners, Bader El-Jeaan, said, “Bringing the resources and experience of Meysan and AT together will greatly strengthen and expand our service offering to clients. Our commitment to clients is to deliver a complete, first class legal service locally in all of our locations.

“AT has one of the leading and most well-established litigation practices in Kuwait, and we are looking forward to working with them.  The partnership will allow us to bring strengthened capacity in our litigation capability, with a particular emphasis on commercial and civil litigation, as well as arbitration.”

Founding partner of AT, Adnan Al Ajeel, said, “Meysan naturally fits with AT as we have a great number of shared goals, priorities and a desire to offer clients only the very best level of service.  I know the firm well and have been impressed with the caliber of their corporate practice.  I have no doubt that the combination of our firms will establish the pre-eminent law firm in Kuwait.”

Al Ajeel added, “The partners of AT will continue to be 100 per cent committed to our existing client base,  but with the added support of Meysan’s extended corporate expertise enabling the delivery of an expanded range of services.”

As a result of the strategic partnership, Meysan AT will have in excess of 50 lawyers across two offices in Kuwait.
