Lawyers hit back at golfer over USD 3 million lawsuit
PGA Tour golfer Dustin Johnson has been struck back for maligning two lawyers whose firm he had sued last month for USD 3 million. Mark Wittstadt and Gerard Wittstadt struck back on the allegations and asked the judge to dismiss the case against them on the grounds that it should have been directed to their former law partner- Nathan Hardwick– who is a friend and advisor of Johnson’s. The golfer had invested in the firm in August and wanted his money back. However, the Wittstadts claimed they weren’t aware of the money coming into the firm because it was put into an account identified by Mr. Hardwick without their knowledge.
In a different lawsuit, the Wittstadts have taken Hardwick to court for embezzling USD 30 million from Morris Hardwick Schneider’s accounts. Hardwick used to be the managing partner for the firm when it was called Morris Hardwick Schneider but resigned from the team afterproblems were discovered with the escrow accounts
