LOD adds Innovation & Design offering in the UAE
The new division helps organisations succeed through delivering operational improvement, technology and change projects relating to legal, governance, risk and compliance.
LOD has announced the launch of their LOD Innovation & Design offering in the United Arab Emirates. The Innovation & Design Division was created following LOD’s acquisition of NewLaw business lexvoco in May this year. Lexvoco established itself as a high quality, trusted brand in the Asia Pacific market with an impressive track record of delivering innovative legal operations and legal-tech solutions to in-house counsel. Enhancing its capabilities in this area was a strategic priority for LOD.

Head of LOD Innovation & Design, Anthony Wright says, “With a lot of confusion and jargon in the market around legal operations and technology solutions, LOD Innovation & Design cuts through the noise to help GC’s and their teams articulate what their challenges are and then creates new ways to overcome them. We question current mindsets and encourage lawyers to think differently and not be shackled by the precedents, templates and processes that were created before.”
Anthony believes that for in-house lawyers, successful innovation combines strategy, commerce, documents, people, processes and technology to help in-house legal teams reach their potential.

Brett Menadue, LOD’s Middle East managing director will be leading the I&D efforts in the UAE given his strong experience in legal operations and in-house leadership roles. The expertise that Anthony and his team bring will allow us to work more closely with our clients, in a strategic and holistic manner. The launch coincides with Wright joining the LOD UAE team in hosting I&D client networking events in October and meeting with a number of clients to discuss their legal operations and legal technology requirements.
