Maples and Calder celebrates 50th anniversary in Dubai

Members of Maples and Calder’s Dubai office gathered together on the evening of Thursday, 8 November to celebrate the firm’s 50th anniversary.  Local clients and industry contacts based around the UAE were invited to join staff at the private function, which took place at the iconic Luna Sky Bar within the Four Seasons Hotel in Dubai’s International Financial Centre.  Among those in attendance was Managing Partner of the firm’s Dubai office, Tahir Jawed, who played an integral part in establishing the firm’s Dubai presence, and where he has been successfully operating in the region for over 12 years.

“Over the course of five decades, we have grown from a two person firm to a global group with over 1500 staff.  Our growth and success has been built on the quality and dedication of our people to excel in all that we do for our clients, and for the last 12 years the Dubai office has been an integral part of that,” said Alasdair Robertson, Global Managing Partner of Maples and Calder, who accompanied Tahir at the celebration.
