New counsel at Clifford Chance

 Robin Hickman and Tariq Imam

Clifford Chance announced has promoted Tariq Imam and Robin Hickman to Counsel. Imam heads Clifford Chance's Middle East Regional Real Estate practice and is located in Dubai and Hickman heads the Bank Lending practice in the firm's Doha office.

Hickmanis counsel and Head of the Banking practice in Clifford Chance’s Doha office. Hickman has been working in the region since 2008. He joined Clifford Chance's Dubai office in November 2010 and took up his current position in the Doha office in January 2015.

Hickmanhas substantial experience in banking, restructuring and project financing. He has advised borrowers, sponsors and financiers on transactions in the UK, Europe and the GCC.

Imam is counsel and Head of Clifford Chance's Middle East Real Estate practice. Imamis a New Zealand qualified lawyer who has been working in the region since 2009. He joined Clifford Chance in January 2011, having previously worked in the Dubai office of another international law firm for 2 years. Prior to that, Imampractised at the Auckland offices of leading New Zealand commercial law firm, Russell McVeagh. He is also a fluent Arabic speaker.

Imam advises on the full range of real estate transactions in the region, with particular expertise in mixed-use development projects, real estate financing transactions and complex estate management matters.
