New hires and promotions at BSA Ahmad Bin Hezeem & Associates
The law firm BSA Ahmad Bin Hezeem & Associates LLP have expanded in the region with promotions and strategic additions across the firm.
Arsalan Tariq has been promoted to partner at BSA Al Rashdi & Al Barwani Advocates and legal consultants, BSA’s Oman office. Practicing since 2009, Tariq specialises in Islamic and conventional finance, bilateral and syndicated project finance, acquisition finance, Islamic product development, cross-border financing and financial restructuring. Tariq will continue working from BSA’s DIFC office in Dubai and will move to the firm’s Muscat office in August 2020. Tariq is a barrister-at-law and has been called to the bar of England and Wales at Lincolns Inn, UK. He also holds an LLB from the University of London, UK and completed his Bar Vocation Training Course at City University in London (formerly Inns of Court School of Law).
Robert Mitchley has been promoted to senior associate in the firm’s Dubai office. He specialises in Corporate, M&A and Real Estate and has right of appearance in the DIFC Courts. He advises clients in relation to real estate, corporate and commercial law. He has extensive experience in drafting commercial contracts and structuring business transactions with a particular focus on joint ventures, sales of shares, commercial agencies and private equity. He also advises on conveyancing of real estate and property development. He was admitted to practice as an Attorney in the High Court of South Africa in 1998. Prior to relocating to Dubai, he practiced in a commercial and real estate law firm in Durban, South Africa.
Jonathan Brown has joined the firm as of counsel in Dubai. Jonathan is a qualified Solicitor (England and Wales) with over 25 years’ experience split between private practice and in-house work. He advises on contentious and non-contentious matters. Brown is highly regarded for his representation of clients in international commercial arbitration and litigation as well as alternative dispute resolution forums. Brown joins from Charles Russell Speechlys LLP, where he was a leading dispute resolution partner for their Dubai office.
