New joiners at Holman Fenwick Willan
HFW has strengthened of its construction and arbitration practice in the Middle East with the recent arrival of partner and arbitrator, Beau McLaren (profile featured in the Oath April 2017). McLaren is a construction and disputes specialist with over ten years’ experience in the Middle East. He joins HFW along with senior associate, Jane Miles, a construction and disputes specialist with over eight years’ Middle East experience, and Legal Executive, Addison Booth, bolstering HFW’s existing construction and disputes team in the region.
Helwick has in-depth knowledge of the diverse types of commercial real estate transactions and project developments and has experience in advising property developers, investors, brokers, property managers, facilities managers, association managers and major landlords and tenants.
Helwick is an experienced real estate lawyer who has practised commercial real estate law in the UAE for over 10 years and previously practised in South Africa. Her extensive experience includes acting as a lead negotiator in a number of high value real estate acquisition and disposals, commercial, retail and residential lease transactions; different forms of long-term land leases; advising on complex mixed use developments and preparation of various types of strata documents, such as master community declarations, jointly owned property declarations and building management statements.
