Norton Rose Fulbright supports NeOnc Technologies on MoU with Abu Dhabi health authority

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised NeOnc Technologies Holdings, Inc. (NeOnc) on its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) concerning the development of research and clinical capability in oncology and central nervous system (CNS) therapeutics.

The mandate follows Norton Rose Fulbright’s recent advice to NeOnc on its UAE expansion and further demonstrates the firm’s longstanding support for the company as it advances its strategic objectives in the region.

NeOnc is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing therapies for CNS cancers. The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit 2026.

Under the MoU, NeOnc and DoH will cooperate in areas including the exchange of scientific and clinical knowledge in CNS oncology, clinical development methodologies, real-world evidence and clinical insights. The collaboration extends to training and capacity-building initiatives and the development of Abu Dhabi’s life sciences ecosystem.

The Norton Rose Fulbright team advising NeOnc was led by partner Jonathan Burton, with support from counsel Michael Stevens.

Jonathan Burton said, “We are delighted to have supported NeOnc on this important collaboration. The MoU brings together NeOnc’s work in CNS cancer therapeutics with Abu Dhabi’s focus on strengthening research and clinical capabilities, with the potential to support further research and innovation in this complex area of healthcare.”

Amir Heshmatpour, executive chairman, President & CEO, NeOnc Technologies Holdings, Inc. said, “We are deeply grateful to the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi for its visionary leadership and commitment to advancing care for patients facing brain cancer. With pediatric patients now enrolled and intranasal administration of our investigational therapy NEO100 underway at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi, this commitment is already translating into action. This MoU strengthens our shared determination to advance CNS oncology research and bring new hope to children and families facing these devastating diseases.”
