Partner promotions in Trowers & Hamlins
Trowers & Hamlins announced the promotion of four new partners across its London, Dubai, Oman and Bahrain offices – Rebecca Wardle, Sallie Bowtell, Jamie Gibson and Peter Greatrex respectively. The appointments took effect from 1 April 2014. The promotions are spread across disciplines including Real Estate and Corporate – both key strategic growth areas for the firm.
The new Trowers & Hamlins partners in the Middle East are:
Sallie Bowtell, real estate partner joining the Dubai office. Bowetell has extensive experience acting for developers, providing advice on developments from their inception through to completion. She also advises public companies and their subsidiaries on commercial and retail leasing, commercial, industrial and residential sales and acquisitions, and general property and development work. Bowtell has a particular focus on hospitality and leisure agreements, and has negotiated a number of hotel management agreements for owner-developers.
Jamie Gibson, corporate partner, specialises in corporate and commercial law and advises international and local clients on matters including mergers, acquisitions and disposals, corporate formations and restructurings, corporate compliance for listed companies, and general advisory. He has acted on behalf of clients in sectors ranging from financial services, real estate, and IT to mining, oil & gas, and manufacturing. He joins the Oman office.
Peter Greatrex, real estate partner in Bahrain, is highly experienced in all aspects of acquisition and disposals of both freehold and leasehold properties. He has advised on development sites, a range of landlord and tenant matters, collaboration agreements for the joint development of sites, and charging large portfolios of residential property.
