Peter Scott reappointed as Norton Rose Fulbright’s managing partner for Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific
Norton Rose Fulbright today announced the reappointment of Peter Scott as managing partner for Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific (EMEAPAC), effective April 1, 2025. This marks his third consecutive three-year term in this regional role.
Scott has spent his entire career with Norton Rose Fulbright, starting as a commercial litigator before joining the antitrust and competition team in 2005. He became a partner in 2007 and later led the firm’s Europe, Middle East and Asia litigation and disputes team as well as its global antitrust and competition practice. In 2024, he was appointed as one of the firm’s two global managing partners, a position he will continue to share with US managing partner Jeff Cody.
Following the full integration of Norton Rose Fulbright Europe, Middle East and Asia with Norton Rose Fulbright Australia on July 1, 2025, Scott assumed leadership of the combined EMEAPAC region.
Peter Scott commented, “I’m honoured to be appointed to lead our business at such a pivotal time. I look forward to building upon the strong foundations we’ve laid since 2020, as reflected by the integration of our regional EMEAPAC platform, six years of consecutive financial growth, enhancing our client offering, and supporting inclusion in our firm and wider industry. As we look ahead, our focus is on continuing to shape our business for the future, through combining innovation, technology and sector insight to deliver solutions that anticipate change and create real value for our clients.”
Farmida Bi CBE, chair, EMEAPAC, Norton Rose Fulbright, commented, “Peter’s reappointment is a clear testament to the trust our partners place in his vision and the strong momentum we’ve generated across the region. Under his leadership, we’ve deepened international collaboration, accelerated innovation and advanced our commitment to inclusion. I’m delighted to continue working with him as we build on this progress together.”
Jeff Cody, global managing partner and managing partner, US, commented, “On behalf of our colleagues around the world, I would like to congratulate Peter on his reappointment following another exceptional term. I look forward to continuing to work closely with him in aligning global and regional priorities, enhancing cross-border teamwork and applying innovation at scale across our business.”
Scott’s strong leadership has been widely recognised in the market. He was named in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 list in 2022 and featured among Europe’s top seven most innovative law firm leaders in the FT Innovative Lawyers Europe report the same year. He also served on the City of London’s Socio-Economic Diversity Taskforce, helping to shape recommendations to boost diversity at senior levels across the UK professional services sector.
