After the huge success of last year’s event, LexisNexis® is pleased to host the 2nd Qatar Business Law Forum & Awards, in partnership with Qatar University College of Law, Qatar Foundation and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Middle East. The event will take place on the 15th of November 2017 at the Intercontinental, The Beach (Westbay lagoon).
The Qatar Business Law Forum & Awards is a unique event combining a Law Conference in the morning (9am-1pm) with a glamorous Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner in the evening (7pm-10pm).
As in 2016, the Law Conference is specifically designed for the in-house counsel community and focuses on current “hot topics” in Qatar business law (Tax law, Arbitration, Cyber security, Economic freezones etc.). Lawyers from local and international law firms, professors and legal counsels constitute a highly qualified panel of experts. The conference is free, but places are limited (registration at qatarbusinesslawforum@lexisnexis.fr).
The Gala Dinner celebrates the accomplishments of the top performing legal experts during a glamorous Awards Ceremony.
Twelve trophies will be awarded to both law firms and internal counsels that have excelled in their areas of expertise.
The awards are judged by an independent panel composed of industry leaders, academic practitioners and government officials. Nominations are assessed objectively using predefined criteria.
