QATAR – QICDRC swears in Enforcement Judge

THE Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) has sworn in Justice Rashid Al-Badr as a specialist Enforcement Judge at a ceremony led by QICDRC president lord Phillips and chief justice HE Masood Bin Muhammad Al-Ameri.

 

Justice Al-Badr, who will continue to serve as Chief Justice of the Court of Appeal, is primarily responsible for the enforcement of the Qatar International Court’s judgments, decisions and orders.

 

Lord Phillips, QICDRC president said: “Although the QICDRC’s jurisdiction is international in nature, the judgments and orders of the Qatar International Court are enforceable as the judgments and orders of a court of the State of Qatar. Justice Al-Badr’s previous experience and appointments strengthen the Court’s standing in the key area of enforcement.”

 

Robert Musgrove, QICDRC CEO commented: “Justice Al-Badr is the second Qatari Judge to be appointed at the Qatar International Court and he further broadens the diversity and experience of our bench of international Judges.”
